2. Ferry To Pengerang From Singapore
Another alternative to Pengerang Johor would be taking a ferry. But it might be too time-consuming, especially if you have several pieces of luggage to carry.
It’s the best option if you’re under a budget since it’s more affordable compared to taking a private car.
There are only 2 steps to follow before arriving at Pengerang Johor.
Step 1: Getting To Changi Point Ferry Terminal (Besides Cab)
Changi Point Ferry Terminal is the only place where the ferry departs for Pengerang in Singapore. You’ll have to head to any MRT station or bus interchange as stated below:

- Tampines MRT station
- Bishan Interchange
- Serangoon Interchange

All of these 4 bus services will end at Changi Village Bus Terminal. Upon arriving, you can walk to the jetty which takes around 5 minutes.
Step 2: Take Bum Boat From Changi Point Ferry Terminal To Tanjung Pengelih, Pengerang (Service Temporarily Suspended)
Once you arrive at Changi Point Ferry Terminal, you’ll be required to take a bumboat to Pengerang. The cost will be S$13 per pax and will take around 45 minutes.
The immigration process isn’t that complicated. You just need to head to the operating desk located under a sign that says “Pengerang”.
Pass your passport over to the staff which will be given to you back upon alighting the boat.
Changi Ferry Terminal To Pengerang Ferry Schedule
At the moment, the bumboat ride has no fixed schedule.
It’ll depart once there are 12 passengers on the boat. You can opt to depart earlier but you’ll need to pay for the vacant spots.
